Founded by an entrepreneur and former Senior Partner at McKinsey & Co., BACbone is seeking to help founders of business services and software firms extend and expand their legacies.
We believe that the next twenty-to-thirty years will present opportunities for proactive service providers to significantly grow their revenue and margins by tapping into technology and new sales & marketing skills. We believe that this future growth requires deep subject matter knowledge and customer relationships built over years of experience. We believe that with the right structure and mindset, this technology will enable young, front-line personnel to take-on greater responsibility and grow into the leaders of tomorrow.
We aim to partner with founders who have a desire to see their businesses continue to expand and tap into new technology and sales and marketing to offer innovative service and software offerings.
Our vision is to combine deep experience with cutting edge technologies through the application of our "Bacbone" of capabilities - software development, AI, sales & marketing, and finance and HR. These capabilities have been honed with large companies through hundreds of consulting engagements as well as with smaller companies over the past 10 years of the founder's investments.
One example of this transformation is that of RKNeal/Verve. BACbone partnered with the founder of an industrial services business to help transform the company into a high-growth software and services firm.  Together they leveraged our capabilities in enterprise sales, marketing, software businesses, and organization development with RKNeal/Verve’s deep understanding of industrial controls technology to increase the company by 6X and completely shift to recurring revenue.
Although the financial and operational metrics are important, the ultimate objective was to create a foundation for each of the staff members to grow into leadership roles where they could achieve far more than if the company had remained independent.
